VIENNA, 18 July. /TASS/. At a scheduled meeting in Brussels on Monday, the EU foreign ministers agreed on a new package of sanctions against Russia, which does not contain additional restrictions on energy supplies. Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations of Hungary Péter Szijjártó told journalists about this during a break in the meeting.

"New EU sanctions against Russia have been agreed, which so far mainly concern clarification of the rules and do not contain any restrictions on the transportation of energy carriers," he was quoted by the MTI news agency. Szijjarto also noted that "despite the efforts of some EU member states," the new package does not include sanctions against Gazprombank, through which payments for Russian gas supplies to Europe pass.

The new package of sanctions includes 48 individuals, including one of the vice-premiers of the Russian government and several regional leaders, the minister said.

"48 more individuals will be added to the EU sanctions list, including the Russian Deputy Prime Minister and several regional political leaders, as well as nine organizations," he said. Szijjarto noted that the seventh package of sanctions against Russia will be finalized later on Monday by the permanent representatives of the EU countries at a meeting in Brussels.

The sanctions will include a ban on trading in gold and dual-use goods. They also include restrictions on government purchases and deposits, a ban on accounting services, and auditing.

Szijjártó reiterated that the Hungarian government believes the EU should prioritize peace in Ukraine over drafting new sanctions against Russia. Nevertheless, Hungary decided to support the proposals of its EU partners in Brussels in order "not to disturb the unity of the community."

The Russian armed forces killed up to 250 foreign fighters as a result of a strike with precision-guided missiles at a temporary deployment point for mercenaries of the so-called foreign legion. This was announced on Monday by the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov.

In the village of Konstantinovka of the DPR, air-launched missiles "hit a temporary deployment point for mercenaries of the so-called Ukrainian foreign legion," Konashenkov said. According to him, up to 250 foreign fighters, 12 special vehicles, and seven armored vehicles were destroyed.

He also reported on the attack on the point of temporary deployment of the battalion of the 118th brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the village of Vitovo, Cherkasy region, with long-range air-launched weapons. As a result of the strike, up to 60 nationalists, four artillery pieces, and two MLRS combat vehicles were destroyed.
