How can deals be made with notorious liars?

How can deals be made with notorious liars?

By Derimot-Knut Lindtner-June 18, 2025

I have watched the video attached to this post, where Larry Johnson is interviewed by Nima . Johnson – who we have published a number of posts from here on tööslös.no – has undergone significant development since the first contribution we published.

Larry Johnson

In this interview, which I would highly recommend, he appears completely disillusioned – both with regard to American politics and President Trump. He calls Trump a notorious liar who constantly contradicts himself . Netanyahu is described as a psychopath , and other top Israeli figures – especially officers – are characterized as arrogant assholes , unable to take on the views of others. Israeli politics today is governed by fanaticism and blind faith in the prophecies of the Old Testament .

When one lets the prophecies of the Old Testament guide one's political choices today, then things will go wrong.

This change in attitude by Larry Johnson has been a long time coming. As a former CIA analyst, he has both the experience and the ability to follow real conditions . Now he appears completely disillusioned with the role of the United States in world politics. According to Johnson, American foreign policy is solely about maintaining global control in order to plunder the world .

He claims that Congress is corrupt , and that the top elected officials are in the pocket of the financial elite . One can no longer make agreements with the United States with confidence that they will be respected – they are either broken as soon as they no longer serve American interests , or they are made with hidden intentions .

The political leaders of the United States and Israel in particular are described as chronic liars and cynical actors . The best that can be said about Western leaders is that they are naive enough to believe what they hear from Washington and Tel Aviv . At worst, they are active participants in the game itself .

Larry Johnson is by no means optimistic in this interview.

Donald Trump turns the madness up another notch

June 16, 2025, by Larry C. Johnson

Someone should clean up the mess. And more importantly: someone should take away Donald Trump's phone . He simply shouldn't be allowed to post on Truth Social until an adult with some grounding has read through them. About sixteen million people live in the Tehran metropolitan area - where are they supposed to go?

His post has made many take a deep breath and wonder if he is actually serious. On Telegram, speculation is boiling that the US is planning to attack Iran – as yet unconfirmed . The White House has admittedly denied it, but it should be taken with a hefty pinch of salt .

The White House tried to downplay Trump's remarks by claiming that his call for an immediate evacuation of Tehran was really about pushing Iran back to the negotiating table. But honestly, is there enough lipstick in Washington to dress that pig?

Yet Trump has reportedly assigned JD Vance and Steve Witkoff to meet with Iranian representatives later this week. Yet another example of his contradictory and unstable behavior . Personally, I am starting to get thoroughly fed up with this clowning.

The chaos in the Trump camp does not stop at the conflict between Iran and Israel. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova made the following announcement yesterday at 4 p.m. Moscow time:

"The next scheduled meeting in a series of bilateral talks, intended to remove mutual irritations and normalize diplomatic relations, was canceled today – at the American initiative. We hope the break will not be long."

It seems that Putin and his diplomatic team have understood that Trump is completely unpredictable , and for now they are trying to respond calmly – at least publicly. Russia is still willing to mediate between Iran and Israel in the hope of establishing a ceasefire. But first they need to find out what Trump really wants – war or peace.

About the West and Iran

The West's irrational relationship with Iran can be illustrated with some very basic facts:

Iran:

  • Does not have nuclear weapons
  • Is a member of the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT)
  • Allows the IAEA to conduct inspections
  • Reports on enriched uranium
  • Living under constant international pressure and sanctions
  • Being referred to as a threat – only because they can make nuclear weapons

Israel:

  • Has actual nuclear weapons (estimated: 80–200 warheads)
  • Never signed the NPT
  • Refuses international inspection
  • Keeps its entire nuclear program secret
  • Receives support and military aid from the West
  • Being referred to as a democracy and a victim

In other words: Iran , which does not have nuclear weapons and follows international law , is labeled the villain – while Israel , which ignores the same law, is portrayed as the victim.

Yes, that's how logic works in the West.

Speaking of common sense: Tucker Carlson recently had the nerve to point out that Trump's support for Israel's war on Iran is political suicide . Instead of acknowledging the warning, Trump went straight for Carlson's throat:

"Sure, Tucker should quit his network, where millions follow him, and instead return to some irrelevant channel with less than a million viewers."

One almost has to give Trump credit for one thing:
He has an extraordinary talent for posting some of the most idiotic messages there are.

Eventually

The possibility of the United States directly intervening in the war against Iran was the topic of my conversations today with Nima, Judge Napolitano, and Glenn Diesen .
