It wasn't the National Guard that started it. The LA riots were started by criminals and organized "protesters."

I saw today that a man's jewelry store, which had been in business for 40 years, was completely ransacked by looters last night during the riots in Los Angeles.

But hey, according to Gavin Goodhair (Newsom) and Mayor Karen, it's just people peacefully demonstrating against Trump's use of the National Guard...

…and meanwhile the poor guy who owned the jewelry store said, "What about my family? We have to eat!".

Haters will hate, looters will loot, but hey, it’s mostly peaceful… and of course the Democrats will blame Trump. The official Democratic party line has been fed to the media – “Trump started it by calling out the National Guard.” But that’s fake news. Here’s the real story, the one the media downplays; the confirmed backstory to the riots.

It all started even before ICE and the IRS, those unlikely dance partners, rolled into LA with arrest warrants and a list of sins as long as your arm. Their targets? A network of businesses that laundered money, evaded taxes, and engaged in customs fraud on a scale that would make a Wall Street banker blush.

Eighty million dollars in goods under the table, seventeen million in unpaid taxes, and enough greenbacks sent south to Mexico and Colombia to buy a ton of champagne, caviar, guns, and border guards. If you ever wondered where all those missing socks and cash went, the answer was here: right into the pockets of the cartel’s American relatives.

Federal authorities weren't just looking for fraudulent accountants. The records of the people they caught read like a police criminal record's Greatest Hits.

The wanted men had already been convicted of murder, sexual penetration with a foreign object by force, assault with intent to rape, burglary, theft, assault with a deadly weapon (sometimes with additional bodily harm for added fun) , firing a gun into the air, spousal abuse, intentional cruelty to children, driving under the influence, assault with a semi-trailer, sexual assault, receiving stolen goods, petty theft, grand theft, possession of prohibited weapons, conspiracy to sell cocaine, drug paraphernalia, obstruction of justice, robbery, distribution of heroin.

And cocaine, domestic violence, conspiracy to transport illegal immigrants, child abuse, being armed with a dangerous weapon, identity theft, drug offenses, computer fraud, negligent homicide, hit and run, and illegal entry into the United States. If you could get that crime written on a criminal record, someone in line (for arrest) would have it, for sure.

These are the men ICE and IRS went to LA to arrest. Not some farm workers, restaurant helpers, or janitors. They came to arrest some really dangerous and bad men.

And to protest the arrest of these malicious, dangerous criminals, the left is burning down LA. Amazingly, the riots were started by left-wing lunatics in LA who were trying to prevent the arrest of these malicious, dangerous criminals.

Meet David Huerta, president of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) California, strolling onto the stage, from the left. The choreography wasn't exactly spontaneous. Huerta and his crew knew about the planned raids before the agents even arrived in town. Word spreads fast in Los Angeles, especially when there's a chance to get your face on the news.

The official story is that information about the operation “spread quickly,” which is bureaucratic language for “everyone and their cousins heard about it.” So SEIU and other left-wing organizations were prepared with posters and war plans.

How did Huerta get the tip? No news on that yet. Whoever leaked it somehow; Huerta was ready and waiting, and so was the crowd of professional “protesters.” Rumor has it that Huerta and his crew knew about the raid before the agents themselves did—news travels fast in those circles. Anyway, when ICE/IRS showed up, the left was ready to go to war. The posters were printed, they were stapled to sticks to hold them up, and everything was in order.

As a result of their foreknowledge, David Huerta, the head of SEIA, positioned himself in front of a gate on Friday morning, June 6th, before the ICE/IRS people had finished their coffee. He and others sat, Buddha-like, blocking the only way in or out of the building where the agents were, in an attempt to prevent the arrests of the amazing individuals described above. I mean, can you think of a nobler cause than trying to stop the arrest and deportation of an illegal immigrant who had previously been convicted of “sexual penetration with a foreign object”?

Leftists who tried to prevent the arrest of the misogynistic assholes and others like them were the ones who started the riots. Stop for a moment and think about it… they are angry because they couldn’t help violent, dangerous criminal illegal immigrants avoid arrest!

When officers told Huerta to move, he still played the statue and told his co-conspirators to do the same. When officers insisted, he played the martyr. The script was familiar: a scuffle, a head wound, a trip to the hospital, and a conspiracy charge for dessert. This was, of course, SEIU's plan: to create a fake tragedy with a familiar face to whip up the population. And that's what they were ready to do.

SEIU’s official statement about Huerta’s arrest for attempting to prevent the arrest of dangerous criminals starts with the ridiculous lie: “David Huerta was arrested while fighting for immigrant rights.” No way. Just nonsense. Not even close.

That’s when the city caught fire. On Friday afternoon, the protests began—small at first, but grew as the sun went down. Protesters blocked ICE vehicles, vandalized the Royal Federal Building, and threw bottles and anything else not nailed down at police. The LAPD declared it an unlawful assembly, but the crowd was in no mood for legal courtesies. Tear gas and riot gear made their way in, but the only thing that cleared was the air.

On Saturday, the chaos spread. The neighboring towns of Paramount and Compton joined in the party. A car burned in the street, fireworks and Molotov cocktails flew. Rioters summoned five self-driving taxis to an intersection, where they were met with a flaming wall of toxic fumes from electric vehicles – to suffocate the intersection in toxic exhaust. So much for the environment…

Barricades were set up by the “protesters,” Highway 101 was blocked, and the city’s best (police officers) suddenly found themselves under a bombardment of rocks and anything else that could be thrown, and they understandably ducked behind broken police cars to avoid being stoned to death. The police used stun grenades that made loud bangs and tear gas, but the crowd only got angrier. By nightfall, the LAPD had declared another unlawful assembly, but the city was already in open rebellion.

Chief Jim McDonnell, the man with the sign and the headache, stood before the press the next day, Sunday, June 8, 2025, and finally said what everyone in Los Angeles already knew: “We are overwhelmed.” Not “challenged,” not “coping,” not “monitoring the situation”—just plain overwhelmed.

At the time, the city looked like a piñata after a child’s birthday party, only with more fire and fewer smiles. “Demonstrators” had blocked highways, set cars on fire, and turned the Royal Federal Building into a canvas for their graffiti-splattered grievances. LAPD officers and their horses limped, storefronts were boarded up, and the air was thick with the scent of tear gas and burning rubber. The chief’s complaint wasn’t a cry for help—it was a white flag.

And what was the mayor doing? Mayor Karen Bass, never one to let a crisis go to waste, told reporters Saturday that the protests were “under control.” She said this as the city was busy losing control of downtown, one broken window at a time.

As for Governor Gavin Newsom, erm… Newsom, he did what California governors do best: he filed a lawsuit against President Trump and the federal government!

Instead of sending in more boots and batons, he went to court to stop the National Guard from entering LA, calling the riots “largely nonviolent” and accusing the authorities of lighting the match (starting the “fire,” metaphorically) by arresting violent criminal illegal immigrants. While the city burned, the state leadership was busy arguing over who started the fire and who should hold the hose.

Finally, after all this, at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 8, 2025, the first National Guard troops—rioter shields glittering, boots crunching on broken glass—rushed into the maelstrom on Alameda .

But by the time the National Guard arrived, two days of rioting, looting, and arson had already taken their toll. Federal officers were injured, property was destroyed, fires were still burning, and the city was left with the kind of hangover that aspirin doesn't cure. Huerta and others trying to prevent arrests had started the fire on Friday, and when the National Guard arrived on Sunday, Los Angeles was still in flames.

And that, my friends, is the tragic truth. It wasn't ICE's fault. It wasn't Trump's fault. It wasn't the deployment of the National Guard to LA. None of those things started the riots.

While it may seem astonishing to reasonable people, the riots were started by leftists trying to prevent the arrest of some incredibly bad people.

What has happened to the American left?
