CLAUDIO RESTA, I’M ON PUTIN’S SIDE.

By VT - Claudio Resta -March 26, 2024

I’m on Putin’s side, even though I am not a Russian nor a Russian agent but just a cosmopolitan free-thinker.

Sorry, this article is published a week later. In facts, it was born the day after Putin’s election but health reasons for my eyesight (conjunctivitis) prevented me from writing it then.Of course I am informed of what happened afterwards in Moscow which perhaps I will comment on later but first I wanted to congratulate the newly re-elected president Putin with this article and share with you my reasons.

Which are not so much about adhering to the (Russian) reasons for his program as about my dissociation from Italy’s Atlantic adhesion and membership and USA/NATO treasons.
I don’t think I’m the only one to share this opinion as can be seen from the statements of an Italian politician like Matteo Salvini, who despite being present Vice (again a Vice!)  Italian Prime Minister  government would be supposed to follow Giorgia Meloni’s line, in practice he dissociates himself from her line. Guess why? Because of his creeping filo-Putinism.

The reason for this is not so much my belief in Putin’s thought and/or Russian interests but my very deep dissociation and dissent from the dominant Western narrative that I have developed over the last three decades.

And from my interpretation of very critical events that have characterized the history of the last sixty years that, in my opinion, it have not yet been interpreted correctly.

In facts Western mainstream narrative is absolutely false on all fronts. This happens due to a failure to historicize events, due to censored, omitted, delayed and manipulated information. Think just of the case of  Julian Assange! It is customary to say that freedom and democracy exist in the West. But where? As? And for whom? Maybe for the richest 0.1%.

Our freedom would more properly be called licentiousness or libertinism (see also pieces at the end of this one…)

Some will say, but do you write freely on VT, or not? It’s true but VT is like a Samizdat of former Soviet Russia.

A marginalized publication published in a closed enclosure for the few, in a segmented information market and discriminated against as anti-Semitic or anti-establishment.

Samizdat was a type of dissident publication distributed clandestinely in the Soviet Union in mimeographed copies; also, the system and means used for such dissemination.

I say that because VT is not inserted into a really open and competitive information system (as it should be) which is instead well supervised by guardians of the narrative, but in a secluded and segmented information market and discriminated against as antisemitic and conspiracy theorist.

But I must say that there are also other well-guarded enclosures as is the case in Unz. com, by Paul Craig Roberts, by Seymour Hersh.

Otherwise there would be an exchange of authors with mainstream publications such as NYT and others.

Democracy is undermined by eligibility: the eligible candidates are only those who are domesticated, functional to the system, in a word corrupt. Unfortunately I don’t think there is a way out. At least now.

I don’t believe the official narrative about the assassinations of JFK, MLK, and Bob Kennedy. Their assassination was not the assassination of three Statesmen but that of a political line that was not admissible tolerable by the Deep State.

Exactly as I said before when talking about democracy, ineligible even if elected by the people. And in fact after that no other President dared to take the same line.

But even Reagan, who was on another line, had a bad time. A certain John Hickley Jr., the son of a family friend of Vice President (once again a rogue Vice before Cheney?) George H.W. Bush (former head of the CIA and future President of the United States!) tried to assassinate Reagan in 1981 and was about to succeed… I would also add that Hinckley’s family was close enough to George H.W. Bush to finance his election campaign.

Doesn’t all this smell burnt to you?

But let’s get to President Richard Nixon!

Since I write about very different topics with often controversial theses, my opponents sometimes accuse me of being unprepared, this time they should know that I graduated in monetary economics from the University of Genoa. Even if I want to use a language accessible to all and I want to simplify my speech as much as possible.
Do you know why gold coins have been used for many centuries?
Because they optimally fulfilled the function of store of value.

This because gold has chemical-physical characteristics that made it ideal: it does not oxidise, it is resistant to corrosion and, if desired, it can be divided into even small units of weight (and value).
Not only that but since pure gold is also soft anyone (merchants and people) could check its purity content simply by biting it with their teeth. While the less pure gold (i.e. the alloys) was perhaps indistinguishable to the eye but was certainly harder to bite.

early 16th century, colonial age: Spanish doubloon (that of pirates (!) and the biggest gold coin of world history)

Because the Princes and Kings who minted their coins, these scoundrels, sometimes to increase the money available to them for their purposes (for example to wage wars) melted down their originally pure coins to remint a greater quantity of money increased the quantity of metals that were melted into the new alloy,
To give a concrete example, if the pure gold is 24 carats or 1000/1000 and the monetary base is equal to 100, if it is melted and diluted to 18 carats or 750/1000 the monetary base becomes 4/3 X 100 = 133.
Which, from what I’m told, is the same thing drug traffickers do by mixing it with other substances.

But will you tell me why I tell you these things? Simply because it is necessary to understand what he did which is worse than what ancient dishonest rulers did. Because in their coins, even if no longer pure, there was still a good part of gold.

While Nixon in 1971 replaced a currency convertible into gold with a completely inconvertible currency called fiat. in simple words: false! If it doesn’t seem like much to you. In fact, when oil producers realized this in 1973, they quadrupled the price of oil in one year! And an era of high inflation and currency instability began.

Since then we have never left this system…

Now I think that if a King or rather an Emperor like the late President of United States Richard Nixon suddenly began to issue counterfeit money, even regardless of the abuse of power and global crime committed, he represents a terrible example of immoral behavior for his subjects, sorry, citizens.

I remember also that in a  show that became later a movie in 1975 representing a disruptive and revolutionary change of social and sexual paradigm The Rocky Horror Show you can hear exactly  the radio speech of resignation of the US President Richard Nixon, not by chance I think, but as a political metaphor, I think.

I believe the exemplary function in the behavior of a monarch or a leader is very important, the ancients said noblesse oblige…(French: privilege entails responsibility, One must act in a fashion that conforms to one’s position and privileges with which one has been born, bestowed and/or has earned.)

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/queen-elizabeth-life-legacy-uk-monarch-rcna17047

See the case of Queen Elizabeth II who basically sacrificed her freedom throughout her life (and partly the search of her personal happiness) to best fulfill her sovereign duties .

I don’t believe that all of this was gratuitous, useless or an end in itself.

But I believe that the exemplary behavior of the monarch or leader has a precious social and political moral function towards his subjects/citizens.

Big fake smile

So what to say about a President like Richard Nixon who replaced all the entire money supply of his country (the US dollar) first and foremost (and indirectly and secondly all the money supply of the whole world, for reasons that I will omit for ease of reading)?!

It was an arbitrary and criminal act of extreme gravity and global reach whose negative effects continue to this day and (maybe) just maybe will last forever.

Of course, that decision also had positive short-term effects (one of the possible ways out) from the US financial budget crisis of the time.

And in the long term in the following decades it allowed the development of Wall Street and other markets with the birth of derivatives (with all their bubbles)!

But now the aspect I would like to underline is a morally destructive character of the leader who presents himself as the Great Faker.

And then, the citizen will say, I too can commit a crime!

From an Italian observer’s point of view:

Then, even if perhaps the history of Italy might not be the object of the VT reader’s interest, between the end of the fifties and the beginning of the eighties, extremely serious events occurred which can only be attributed to United States government.

Which, it should be noted, would theoretically be an almost colonial ally and protector of Italy. And yet this ally/protector of Italy was able to have the two greatest post WWII Italian captains of industry Adriano Olivetti and Enrico Mattei assassinated.

Which also sowed a low intensity civil war in Italy from 1969 to 1980 called the Strategy of Tension.

Which, like COINTELPRO against the Black Panthers, spread heroin in those years to destroy that movement, spread heroin in Italy in the same period to destroy the young politicized left-wing Italians who were becoming radicalised. (Operation Blue Moon).

That with the kidnapping of President Aldo Moro (much disliked by Henry Kissinger) formally carried out by the Red Brigades but skilfully exploited by the CIA agent Steve Pieczenik in the perhaps biggest in the world psychological warfare operation which moved the political orientation of Italy, from center-left to right Police Statewards…

Finally, forgive me for the cryptic way in which I refer to three extremely serious events that occurred in Italy and Germany from 1980 onwards with three toponyms but it would really take too long to try to explain what happened in those places and in those years. ..

1980: Ustica massacre (video)

and, after just a month of Ustica another massacre: 1980 Bologna massacre

(a NATO secret army intimidation against the Italian government and the Italian judiciary, not to look for real truth, perhaps?)

1988: Rammstein (a sabotage of the Ustica witness’ planes?) VIDEO

Even behind all three of these events/tragedies/massacres there are certainly direct or indirect US and NATO responsibilities and they are still referred to as ”Italian mysteries” simply because there is an unspeakable truth behind them.

For all these reasons:

  • for the ”falsity” of fiat money: its lack of underlying as well against its social bad example
  • for the falsity of the entire Western narrative for its omissions, censorship, distortions and artful and tendentious manipulation
  • for the betrayal of the US/NATO ally/protector
  • for the seizure of the truth relating to all the facts listed above

I’m on Putin’s side

as well as many others I believe who maybe do not share with me the same desire to carry out such a synthetic but broad and detailed critic of Western narrative…
