An experienced and forward-looking education leader, Jeff has served as president of Avenues: The World School since 2013. Under Jeff’s leadership, Avenues is developing one school with many interconnected and interdependent campuses located in leading cities around the globe.

Today, Avenues serves more than 3,000 students at its campuses in New York, São Paulo, Shenzhen, and Online. Additional campus development efforts are currently underway in other leading global cities including Silicon Valley, Miami, Shanghai, and London.

Before joining Avenues, Jeff served for seven years as president and CEO of National Heritage Academies (NHA), one of the largest K-8 education management organizations in the United States, which serves more than 55,000 students at nearly 90 charter schools in nine states. Jeff led a team of 4,000 people, managed a $400 million budget, and oversaw all aspects of the fast-growing organization.

Under Jeff’s leadership, NHA opened more than 20 new schools, had 100 percent of its charters renewed, and significantly improved student learning outcomes. In total throughout his career, Jeff has been responsible for the education of more than 250,000 students.

Before his career in education, Jeff held various leadership positions in investment and corporate banking. He served as community president of National City Bank and president of Westwater Group, a Michigan-based diversified management and investment company with interests in education, manufacturing, and other industries. SÃO PAULO - August 2018, Avenues:

The World School opened the doors of an extraordinary 2,000-student, 15-grade campus in the Cidade Jardim neighborhood of São Paulo.
A deeply experienced leadership team from America and Brazil has spent almost five years planning it; an exciting The 40,000-square-meter campus has been designed by one of Brazil’s leading architects; and approximately R$300 million of capital has been dedicated to its launch.

Avenues São Paulo expects to be among the finest schools in the world, providing an exceptional education to the students it serves. Equally important, Avenues São Paulo is part of a much larger educational endeavor, one that combines the thinking of great educators around the world. This is an introduction to Avenues: The World School and the São Paulo campus.

NEW YORK CITY... In fall 2012, Avenues:

The World School opened the doors of its 15-grade campus in New York’s Chelsea neighborhood to 740 students. Extraordinary care went into the making of this school. A deeply experienced leadership team was assembled, and an outstanding faculty and staff brought together an innovative global curriculum designed with the input of educators from
around the world.

Meanwhile, a 22,000-square-meter site was thoughtfully renovated to become one of the finest school facilities in New York. Four years later, Avenues New York has doubled its enrollment to 1,400 students and has recently announced an expansion to increase capacity to 2,100 students.

THE US NGO OF THE COUNCIL OF FOREIGN RELATIONS WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1921.
