Megaviral: Tucker Carlson's first broadcast watched 100 million times

Fox News notified Tucker Carlson's lawyers on Wednesday that Carlson allegedly breached his contract with the television channel when he launched his own Twitter show. And considering the number of viewers Carlson has gotten, they may have reason to be nervous.

Carlson averaged 3.6 million viewers on his Fox News broadcasts - making him the channel's most-watched program. But on Twitter, he already has a whopping 100 million viewers after less than two days. Fox News has lost 40 percent of its viewers since firing Carlson.

In the ten-minute-long monologue, Carlson directs a series of attacks on the established media for lying. Among other things, he believes that the explosion of the Kakhova dam must have been done by Ukraine, as it makes no sense for Russia to do so. Large parts of the flood-affected areas Russian forces occupy south of the Dnieper River. He points out that the media and the authorities in the USA initially also pointed to Russia when it came to Nord Stream, but that this now points unequivocally to Ukraine.

Towards the end, Carlson addresses the claims of a former intelligence officer that the US government is sitting on craft and bodies of extraterrestrial origin and criticizes the media for not covering it.

"Obviously he's telling the truth," Carlson claims of the intelligence officer who has come forward with the sensational allegations. “With others, UFOs are indeed real, and apparently extraterrestrial life is too. Now we know," concludes Carlson.

"In a normal country, such news would be a 'bombshell', the story of the millennium, but not in our country," says Tucker, explaining the lack of media coverage of Colonel David Grusch's (36) claims.

The huge viewership on Twitter is being noticed. Matt Walsh, the man behind the documentary "What is a Woman?" points to their own success with over 175 million views in a few days.

And the numbers are actually even higher, claims Elon Musk.

Carlson was taken off the air and "fired" in April but is bound by a contract with Fox News that prevents him from signing with other channels. The question is whether Twitter is such a channel, even though Elon Musk has said that there is no agreement between Carslon and Twitter. He simply uses an open platform.
