Kyiv is responsible for the safe exit of ships from Ukrainian ports and their passage to the assembly area, Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev noted.
The humanitarian corridor, through which foreign ships can leave the Black Sea ports of Ukraine, has been adjusted and now stretches for 139 nautical miles with a width of 3 miles, Colonel-General Mikhail, head of the Russian interdepartmental coordinating headquarters for humanitarian response, told reporters on Thursday Mizintsev.
Earlier it was reported that the Russian Armed Forces daily from 08:00 to 19:00 opened two maritime humanitarian corridors, which are safe lanes for ships in the Azov and Black Seas. In the Black Sea, a corridor 80 miles long and 3 miles wide was formed to leave the ports of Kherson, Nikolaev, Chernomorsk, Ochakov, Odesa and Yuzhny in a southwesterly direction from the territorial sea of Ukraine.
"In order to ensure the safe exit of foreign vessels from the ports of Odessa, Nikolaev, Chernomorsk, Kherson, Ochakov, and Yuzhny to the open sea, the Russian Armed Forces have made adjustments to the route of the humanitarian corridor. From May 27, 2022, the maritime humanitarian corridor is a route for the movement of vessels with a length of 139 sea miles with a lane width of 3 miles," he said.
The corridor operates daily from 08.00 to 19.00 Moscow time.
Mizintsev stressed that the Ukrainian side is responsible for ensuring the safety of ships leaving the ports and proceeding to the collection area.
Earlier, Mizintsev said that, despite the conditions created by the Russian side for a safe exit, for example, six foreign dry cargo ships remain in the port of Mariupol: Bulgaria, Dominican Republic, Liberia, Panama, Turkey, and Jamaica. He stressed that Russia calls on the International Maritime Organization and the diplomatic missions of the listed countries to influence the owners of the ships in order to bring them to their places of permanent registration.
