Global warming fails: Record cold in Brazil

Thousands have become homeless and large crops are in danger due to a cold wave that covers the entire southern part of tropical Brazil. At the same time, the UN warns once again about increasing global warming.

In São Paulo, Latin America's largest city, temperatures dropped to 6.6 degrees on Wednesday morning, the coldest since May 1990.
