The Crying Cave, located in Praia da Sununga

The Crying Cave, located in Praia da Sununga, South of Ubatuba, with access from Praia do Lázaro, is one of the great attractions of the city and the object of many legends.

The cave is shaped like a large funnel, facing the beach, and its walls are of volcanic segments.

When sounds are emitted inside, due to this sound vibration, the walls vibrate causing the spring water that passes over the cave to fall from the ceiling. Even without the emission of sound inside, due to the noise of the violent waves of Praia da Sununga, which break on the sand and on the coast, the cave's roof is always dripping.

The legend….

“In this cave dwelt a monster that changed into a man every night. A beautiful young woman named Iracema lived in the region, who fell in love with this “man” allowing him to enter her room every night. Soon her mother noticed something wrong since the girl felt sleepy during the day, and talking to her husband about such distrust, he decided to investigate. When night fell, Iracema's father kept spying, until he saw this boy enter his daughter's room, following the plan, he waited for the same to come out.

He followed the "man" and was astonished when he entered the cave and turned into a horrible monster with a dragon's head and a serpent's body. Not knowing what to do, he looked for Friar Bartolomeu who was in the region in honor of the centenary of Father José de Anchieta, the friar and the community came to the place, and in a ceremonial, they poured holy water at the entrance of the grotto.

This sympathy ended up expelling this monster from the cave, which went into the sea, turning it into disorderly and often violent waves. Iracema, in love, would no longer be happy without her lover and entered the cave and never left. According to legend, Iracema lives there to this day and cries every time she hears voices, because she thinks he can be loved by her by returning to be with her.  Poor Iracema!”

Many visitors, even today, come in search of these tears, which they believe are mixed with the holy water left by Friar Bartolomeu, even say that these tears are capable of making romantic dreams come true.

WHO and WHAT is behind it all ? : >

The bottom line is for the people to regain their original, moral principles, which have intentionally been watered out over the past generations by our press, TV, and other media owned by the Illuminati/Bilderberger Group, corrupting our morals by making misbehavior acceptable to our society. Only in this way shall we conquer this oncoming wave of evil.

Commentary:

I was actually visiting the cave from my lancha on my way home after a visit to Refugio do Corsario on the opposite coast.  An eerie feeling inside. Didn´t know about the legend at that time.
