Milei on the UN's future pact: - An authoritarian socialist program for supranational governance.

By Arnt Jensvoll 27/09/2024 10:40

At the UN summit, the world's leaders, without general vote, have officially adopted the "Pact for the Future", a comprehensive agreement that will solve the world's most pressing problems through centralized, top-down control.

Guterres' vision for the future

The pact is hailed by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres as a "vision for the future" and marketed as "the solution to tomorrow's problems", while critics portray it more as a manifesto for a totalitarian system of governance that could have consequences for individual freedoms, national sovereignty and democratic board.

This international order is irredeemably corrupt and has pernicious aspirations. What they offer is global technocratic totalitarianism. We must resist this with all we have within us!!

– Supranational government

Argentina's President Javier Milei is among those who are not sure what is hidden behind unelected UN bureaucrats' concepts such as "digital security", "human rights", "sustainable development", "climate change", "climate challenges", "renewable energy », «sustainable, just and peaceful world order – for everyone», «change of global governance» etc.

In his first appearance in the UN General Assembly, the libertarian Milei spent 15 minutes slaughtering Agenda 2030 and the Future Pact; "an attempt to introduce a socialist-style supranational government program".

Neither discreet nor humble

Milei's UN debut was neither discreet nor humble. He began by looking at history, crediting the United Nations for "more than 70 continuous years of relative peace and global stability under an order that has enabled the entire world to integrate commercially, compete and prosper."

- When trade comes in, the bullets disappear, he quoted the French economist Frédéric Bastiat.

Lost the basics

With a quote from the Bible, he highlighted "the UN's remarkable success in the history of nations".

- But today's UN deviates from its basic principles. In recent years, the organization will not only decide what each individual nation-state will do, but also how each individual citizen will live. What is being discussed during the summit on the future pact is an elaboration of the tragic course this institution has embarked on.

The monarch's power must be limited, not increased.

- The 2030 agenda may well be well-intentioned, but it is a supranational government program, socialist in nature, which seeks to solve the problems of modernity with solutions that both violate the sovereignty of nation-states and the people's right to life, liberty and property. The agenda pretends to solve poverty, inequality and discrimination, but what it does is reinforce them.

World history shows that the monarch's power must be limited if prosperity is to be secured, equality before the law must be guaranteed and the right of individuals to life, liberty and property must be defended.

The agenda of the global elite

Milei also mentioned Israel as "the only country in the Middle East that defends democracy" before addressing the global elite.

- A toxic relationship has been established between the global elite and international credit agencies, which requires the most low-priority countries to allocate resources they do not have to programs they do not need to promote the global elite's agenda, which makes them eternal debtors.

Collision with reality

Milei believes the cycle of this type of politics must end together with "collectivism and the moral posturing of the woke agenda", as "they have collided with reality and revealed that they do not have credible solutions to the world's real problems".

- The 2030 agenda has failed, even the initiators acknowledge that. Now we should accept reality and change course instead of doubling down on an agenda that has failed.

This always happens with the ideas of the left: They design a model for how people should be, according to them, and when the individual freely acts differently, they have no better solution than to suppress their freedom.

Foremost in the defense of freedom

Finally, Milei assured that Argentina will end its "neutrality" on the international stage:

- From today you should know that the Argentine Republic will abandon the position of neutrality that has historically characterized us. We will be at the forefront of the fight to defend freedom. For as the philosopher Thomas Paine said: "He who wishes to reap the blessings of liberty must bear the burden of defending it." May God bless the Argentines and all citizens of the world, may the forces of heaven be with us, he concluded.

Elon on the calendar

Milei arrived in New York last Sunday together with the Argentine delegation. There he has met journalists, rung the famous stock exchange bell and had a chat with his personal friend Elon Musk.
