What is causing such intense rain?
- According to meteorological maps, the heat wave that affects most of Paraná and Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Mato Grosso do Sul, southern Minas Gerais, Goiás and Mato Grosso prevents the passage of a cold front that acts in Rio Grande do Sul.
- As a result, the humid and unstable air has been “stationary” in southern Brazil.
- Meteorologists explain that a cold front entered the west and south of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, causing torrential rain.
- The projection is for 150 mm to 300 mm of rain over the next few days.
- The situation creates a risk of new floods and landslides, as some cities in RS have already recorded almost 500 mm of rain since Saturday.

FLOODS, DROUGHTS, HEAT
The crazy, out of control weather we are having is caused by human meddeling, disturbing the natural weather system based on the Chaos Theory, where even small and distant changes will have a catastrophical Domino Effect on the climate at a later stage. While our weather system can be changeable, it still is controlled by a system, invisible to us, but still a SYSTEM.
The human interference is like tossing coin with the weather system with unknown consequences seen in recent news systems stating flood catastrophies and overheating up to 48C. The chaos theory suggests that small changes can lead to larger, unpredictable outcomes over time.
